Rust by Vaughn Rae

You are invited to literally step into a wartime melodrama with RUST, an immersive theatrical experience like no other. The beautiful Alliance Française building in St Kilda will be transformed into a wartime hideout, and the audience is free to roam throughout the stately home of a family inconflict as the drama unfolds in real time.

Secrets, espionage and betrayals abound in this story of a family divided by war and entangled by forbidden love in this uniquely explosive drama. Which side of the story will you see?

Reviews

Time and decay will claim a lot of things, but Rust is a beautiful play that bravely states that some things will always endure.

A very cool and extremely well put together piece of immersive theatre!…..The surprise twists and an escalating story line make for a gripping ride in this war torn country France residence.

Rust by any other name would still be Rust and it is the cleverest innovation in immersion theatre that I have experienced…..This is a must-see. Do not let it slip by. The memories of it will stay with you for life; similar to your first Shakespeare experience outdoors in open amphitheatres.
